About you
My name is Katerina (Kateřina in my native, language), I am from Prague, Czech Republic, and I work as a remote SEO Copywriter and Content Writer, since 2020. Yes I chose for beginning of my solo career life the worst season – corona season. 😀 Anyway I did it and so, today, I have a portfolio of a few clients. Some of them are small ones and one of them is big. And they are all about lifestyle. So, basically, I write articles about travel, culture and cuisine in Southeast Asia. And I also write about fashion, fashion brands, fashion history and future as well, etc. And that’s honestly also my hobby. So I’m actually a happy person. I do what I love. 🙂
And right now I cooperate on creating a fashion search engine (I set up SEO optimizations, create texts for the website, write articles, etc.). This is also my biggest project. Now and for the rest of my life I hope. If it will work in the Czech Republic next year, we will expand to Slovakia and Hungary. And if he will be successful there as well, who knows.. Perhaps you will also use it here, in Italy. 🙂
Your digital nomad story
Simply, I need some form of freedom. Otherwise, I will never do my job correctly and creatively. I mean, of course, we do not live in anarchy and the rules have their meaning. Honestly, I am a supporter of their observance in general. I just need to expand my options a bit, within these rules. Specifically regarding location and time. I started this work department in an advertising agency, and it certainly has a much more relaxed atmosphere compared to classic corporations. But you still have to follow certain rules which are not necessary for performing quality work (for example daily arrivals to the office). I have loved traveling since my childhood. Yes, I love Europe and Asia. And as a nomad, I can travel much more easily and whenever I want. I mean, there’s no time to spare. We all have an “expiration date” in this world. Well, if I have to work, at least I want to do it from the places where I want to be right now.
I don’t live to work. I work to live my dream.
DN experience in Italy
Nothing funny happened here, unfortunately. Not yet. 🙂 And, probably, it’s not about Italy. It’s just about Naples. 🙂 You know, this city has a very unique atmosphere. When you compare it to Central and Western Europe, it’s like going back to the 90s. This may sound boring and outdated for some of you but when you live your whole life in stress, deadlines and consumerism, this is a terribly pleasant change. In addition, I was looking for a place where my expectations will meet – a bigger city, interesting surroundings, great food, sun, friendly people and the SEA. 🙂 Naples has it all. And much more.
